Terms of Service

You give us photos and memories of your pet. We use AI to make you a memorial portrait and tribute. You own what we make for you. We can’t guarantee the output is perfect; if something is meaningfully wrong, email us and we’ll fix it or refund you. Be kind. We will too.

• We’ll generate a memorial portrait, a written tribute PDF, and (for the appropriate tier) an 8-page memory book PDF from the materials you provide.
• You’ll get a private download link by email, valid for 90 days.
• We’ll respond to support emails — sent to hello@kindredpaws.co — within 2 business days.
• If you don’t like the output, write to us within 14 days. We’ll regenerate at no cost. If a re-run doesn’t resolve it, paid orders get a full refund.

• You have the right to use the photos you upload (e.g. you took them, or have permission from whoever did).
• The pet in the photos is yours, or you’re acting on behalf of someone who has authorized you to do so.
• You’re at least 16 years old.
• You won’t use the service to generate hateful, sexual, defamatory, or illegal content. (Reasonable for what we make, but stated for completeness.)

You own the photos you upload. You own the generated portrait, tribute, and memory book once delivered — you may print, share, display, or modify them, for personal or commercial use. We retain the right to display anonymized samples of generated work on the Kindred Paws website unless you tell us in writing that you’d prefer we didn’t.

The portrait is generated by an AI model (currently OpenAI’sgpt-image-2) using your uploaded photos as visual reference. The tribute is written by Claude (Anthropic). AI generations are statistical processes and the output is novel, not a literal copy of the inputs. We do our best to preserve likeness and tone but can’t guarantee any specific result.

Kindred Paws offers two tiers. The full keepsake — a personalized portrait, a written tribute, and an 8-page memory book — is $29. A lighter option with just the portrait and tribute (no memory book) is $10.99. Payment is a single one-time charge via Dodo Payments at checkout; you choose the tier on the review step before paying.

If a keepsake comes out feeling meaningfully wrong, reply to your order email and we’ll regenerate it at no additional cost.

If something goes wrong with the generation (the keepsake comes back meaningfully wrong, the email never arrives, generation fails entirely), reply to your order email and we’ll re-run it at no additional cost. Most issues are resolved this way without needing a refund.

If a regeneration doesn’t resolve it: full refund within 14 days of purchase. Email hello@kindredpaws.co with your order details.

• That the AI portrait will be a photorealistic likeness. It will be a stylized interpretation in the visual register you chose.
• That the tribute will quote your memories verbatim. It uses them as source material and writes something cohesive in the tone you selected.
• 100% uptime. We’re a small operation; outages happen. We’ll do our best.
• That AI providers we depend on (OpenAI, Anthropic) won’t change pricing, performance, or availability. If they do, we’ll adapt and tell you what changed.

The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of Kindred Paws is limited to the amount you paid us for the order in question. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

This doesn’t limit liability for things that can’t be limited by law (e.g. gross negligence, fraud, statutory consumer protections in your jurisdiction).

We can suspend or terminate accounts (read: refuse to generate for repeat abuse) at our discretion if these terms are broken. You can stop using the service any time; deletion of your data is covered in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms. If we change anything materially, we’ll update the effective date and, when reasonable, notify recent customers by email.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. (If you’re outside India, mandatory local consumer-protection laws still apply where they conflict with this clause.)
